The on-grid solution generates power from a solar system, allowing you to store energy in the electric grid, when your solar system is producing more power than your consumption. The excess power can often be sold back to the utility in a practice known as net metering. when your solar system is not producing sufficient power or during night hours you use either the stored energy or consume from national grid, both ways, it helps in reducing the total utility bill.
